John Waters is a writer and a columnist with The Irish Times. His journalistic career began in 1981 with the leading Irish political-music magazine Hot Press. He has written six books, the latest in 2007 (Lapsed Agnostic) and several plays for radio and the stage. Waters is a supporter of father’s rights in Ireland.
George Weigel

George Weigel, a native of Baltimore, is Distinguished Senior Fellow of the Ethics and Public Policy Center. He was educated at St. Mary's Seminary College in his native city, and at the University of St. Michael's College in Toronto. In 1975, Weigel moved to Seattle where he was Assistant Professor of Theology at the St. Thomas Seminary School of Theology in Kenmore, and Scholar-in-Residence at the World Without War Council of Greater Seattle. Weigel was a fellow of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C. He serves on the boards of directors of several organizations dedicated to human rights and the cause of religious freedom and is a member of the editorial board of First Things.

Joseph H. H. Weiler nasce nel 1951 a Johannesburg, in Sud Africa. È professore universitario presso l’Università di New York (NYU). Ha ricoperto la carica di Membro del Comitato di Giuristi della Commissione per gli Affari Istituzionali del Parlamento europeo che ha co-redatto la Dichiarazione sui Diritti e sulle Libertà dell’Uomo del Parlamento Europeo. È membro dell’Accademia Americana delle Arti e delle Scienze. È inoltre autore di articoli e libri nei settori del diritto internazionale, comparativo e europeo. Il suo contributo alla teoria giuridica europea è stato di grande valore, impegnandosi in lavori sul mercato interno, sulle relazioni esterne e sulla legge sociale.
Joseph Weiler is Professor at New York University, European Union Jean Monnet Chair at NYU School of Law. He is the Director of the Tikvah Center for the study of Law and Jewish Civilization, and the Jean Monnet Center for International and Regional Economic Law & Justice. He has been a guest of the Meeting since 2003.
