Further, she is editor of three books: Pope John Paul II: A Light for the World; From John Paul II to Benedict XVI: An Inside Look at the End of an Era, the Beginning of a New One and the Future of the Church, and Benedict XVI: Essays and Reflections on His Papacy.

He has written six books, the latest in 2007 (Lapsed Agnostic) and several plays for radio and the stage. Waters is a supporter of father’s rights in Ireland.
Dion Watts

Dion is a Research Assistant at ResPublica, contributing to the New Economies, Innovative Markets workstream. A philosophy graduate from Durham University, Dion worked as a researcher in the conference and events industry for four years before deciding to focus on public policy. Dion is interested in behavioural economics and the role of wellbeing in assessing the prosperity of nations. Dion will be studying for an MSc in Public Policy at UCL in 2012/13.
George Weigel

George Weigel, a native of Baltimore, is Distinguished Senior Fellow of the Ethics and Public Policy Center. He was educated at St. Mary's Seminary College in his native city, and at the University of St. Michael's College in Toronto. In 1975, Weigel moved to Seattle where he was Assistant Professor of Theology at the St. Thomas Seminary School of Theology in Kenmore, and Scholar-in-Residence at the World Without War Council of Greater Seattle. Weigel was a fellow of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C. He serves on the boards of directors of several organizations dedicated to human rights and the cause of religious freedom and is a member of the editorial board of First Things.
Joseph Weiler

Joseph H. H. Weiler nasce nel 1951 a Johannesburg, in Sud Africa. È professore universitario presso l’Università di New York (NYU). Ha ricoperto la carica di Membro del Comitato di Giuristi della Commissione per gli Affari Istituzionali del Parlamento europeo che ha co-redatto la Dichiarazione sui Diritti e sulle Libertà dell’Uomo del Parlamento Europeo. È membro dell’Accademia Americana delle Arti e delle Scienze. È inoltre autore di articoli e libri nei settori del diritto internazionale, comparativo e europeo. Il suo contributo alla teoria giuridica europea è stato di grande valore, impegnandosi in lavori sul mercato interno, sulle relazioni esterne e sulla legge sociale.
Joseph Weiler is Professor at New York University, European Union Jean Monnet Chair at NYU School of Law. He is the Director of the Tikvah Center for the study of Law and Jewish Civilization, and the Jean Monnet Center for International and Regional Economic Law & Justice. He has been a guest of the Meeting since 2003.

James Matthew Wilson teaches in the Department of Humanities and Augustinian Traditions at Villanova University. He has authored many essays on philosophical-theology and literature, and is currently at work on two books: T.S. Eliot, Jacques Maritain, and the Return to the Real and Our Steps amid a Ruined Colonnade, the latter of which is running serially in Contemporary Poetry Review. He is the author of a regular column, The Treasonous Clerk, which is published in First Principles, and also of a book of poems, Four Verse Letters (Franciscan University at Steubenville Press, 2010).

Professor Witte’s writings have appeared in ten languages, and he has lectured and convened conferences through North America, Western and Eastern Europe, Japan, Israel and South Africa. He edits two major book series, “Studies in Law and Religion” and “Religion, Marriage and Family.” Witte received a BA from Calvin College and a J.D. from Harvard.

Thomas Woods is also author of several successful books , like The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History and The Church and the Market: A Catholic Defense of the Free Economy.
Harry Wu
Presidente della Laogai Research Foundation
Il professor Harry Wu, nato a Shangai nel 1937, è un attivista per i diritti umani. Ora residente e cittadino degli Stati Uniti, Wu ha trascorso 19 anni nei campi di lavoro cinesi, che poi ha fatto conoscere col termine “Laogai”.
Nel 1992 ha fondato a Washington DC la Laogai Research Foundation, che denuncia in tutto il mondo la realtà dei campi di prigionia cinesi e promuove la difesa dei diritti umani in Cina.
