Earthquake and tsunami in Japan

Friday March 11, 2011, a devastating earthquake, measuring 9.0 on the Richter scale, hit North-East Japan, and a ten meter tall tsunami submerged the Sendai coast. One of the largest natural disasters in history, which even moved the axis of the Earth. A nuclear plant was also hit, leading to a high risk of radioactivity leaking into the atmosphere.
