In January 2012, the Health and Human Services Department issued a rule forcing nearly all private health plans to include coverage for all FDA - approved prescription contraceptive drugs and devices, some of which cause abortion, as well as surgical sterilization. S. bishops immediately spoke out against the rule and called on the Obama administration to add a conscience clause to exempt those that are opposed to those drugs from having to provide them in their insurance plans. This feature collects articles and opinions on the debate.
