Giuseppe Pennisi, nato a Roma nel 1942 e deceduto nel 2023, ha avuto una prima carriera negli Usa (Banca mondiale) sino alla metà degli Anni Ottanta. Rientrato in Italia è stato Dirigente Generale ai Ministeri del Bilancio e del Lavoro e docente di economia al Bologna Center della Johns Hopkins University e della Scuola Superiore della Pubblica Amministrazione, di cui ha coordinato il programma economico dal 1995 al 2008. Frequente collaboratore di quotidiani e periodic. È stato Consigliere del Cnel, in quanto esperto nominato dal Presidente della Repubblica e insegna alla Università Europea di Roma e alla Unilink. Ha pubblicato una ventina di libri di economia e finanza in Italia, Usa, Gran Bretagna e Germania. Cultore di musica classica, è stato Vice Presidente del Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto e critico musicale del settimanale Il Domenicale dal 2002 al 2009; ha collaborato regolarmente in materia di lirica con il settimanale Milano Finanza e il quotidiano britannico Music & Vision.Giuseppe Pennisi, born in Rome in 1942 and dead in 2023, first worked in the US (World Bank) until the middle of the 80s. Returning to Italy, he was the Director General of the Ministries of Budget and Labour and Professor of Economics at the Bologna Center of Johns Hopkins University and the School of Public Administration, where he coordinated the economic program from 1995 to 2008. He was a frequent contributor to newspapers and periodicals. He was Director of the CNEL, as an expert appointed by the President of the Republic and teaches at the European University of Rome and at Unilink. He has published about twenty books on economics and finance in Italy, the USA, Great Britain and Germany. A lover of classical music, he was the Vice President of the Experimental Opera Theatre of Spoleto and a music critic for Il Domenicale from 2002 to 2009. He worked regularly on opera, the Milan newspaper Finanza and the British newspaper Music & Vision.
