Camille Eid, giornalista libanese, è residente in Italia dove collabora in particolare con il quotidiano Avvenire. Ha al suo attivo oltre duemila articoli e reportage sul mondo arabo, le comunità cristiane d’Oriente e l'islam politico. È autore o co-autore di otto libri. I più recenti sono I cristiani venuti dall’islam (2005, con Giorgio Paolucci); A morte in nome di Allah (2004) e Cento domande sull’islam (2002, con Giorgio Paolucci e Samir Khalil), tradotto in cinque lingue. Insegna lingua araba nell'Università Cattolica di Milano e nell'Università di Milano Bicocca e dirige l'associazione l'Araba Fenice, Centro studi sulle culture del mondo arabo.Camille Eid, a Lebanese journalist, is a resident in Italy where he collaborates with, in particular, the daily Avvenire. He has over two thousand articles and reports on the Arab world, the Christian communities of the East and political Islam. He is the author or co-author of eight books, among which are I cristiani venuti dall’islam (Christians who came from Islam) (2005, with Giorgio Paolucci) and 111 Questions on Islam (2002, with Giorgio Paolucci and Samir Khalil), translated into five languages. He teaches Arabic at the Catholic University of Milan and at the University of Milan Bicocca, and he also directs the Phoenix Association, Centre for the Study of the cultures of the Arab world.
